Tell us your idea
Start with whatever you've got.
A logo, a sketch, a photo of a sign you like, or just a few words about what you're picturing. Tell us where the boulder is going and we'll help you pick a size that fits the spot. Or we can work backward from your budget.
Any size, any shape, any color. Not sure yet? That's what the proof is for. Quotes are free with no obligation, and since every project is different, we'll walk you through pricing and payments when you reach out.
Free design proof
See it before we build it.
We'll make you a design proof based on your description. Then you can change anything you'd like: the size, shape and color of the boulder and any part of the design. We'll keep revising until it's right.
A quick heads-up: because every boulder is made by hand, expect a little natural variation in the exact color. We'll get it as close as we possibly can.
We handcraft it
Handcrafted, and never the same twice.
Once you approve the proof, we get to work. Your boulder is shaped, colored and engraved by hand, more like a piece of art than a sign off a shelf. We'll send you pictures along the way so you know how it's coming along.
Delivery & install
Set right, so it stays right.
We deliver every boulder and install it too (quoted separately from the boulder). How we set it depends on its size.
Smaller & mid-size boulders
A mid-size boulder (around 1,000 lb) can sit on a solid gravel base about 10–12" thick. We drive a steel pipe into the ground and set the boulder over it. A sleeve built into the bottom of the boulder keeps it locked in place. We provide the installation pipe.
Large & XL monuments
Our large and XL boulders need a concrete footer. For the biggest jobs we coordinate concrete footings and bring in a telehandler to lift each boulder into place.
If you're having a base or pad prepared ahead of time, we just ask that it's finished before we arrive. Working with a landscaper or builder? We're happy to coordinate with them.
